My name is Michael aka "Mike" Thireos and I am based in Rochester, NY.

I have a long musical journey starting with the piano at age 8. I continued classic piano studies until I graduated high school. Along the way I played percussion in the concert band in middle school, and took up the electric bass at 16 to play hard rock. Post college I studied jazz piano for 2 years with Bill Slater, then 2 more years with Paul Hoffman at the Eastman School of Music. In the late 90s I decided to focus on guitar instead of bass to allow me to express the musical ideas I had in my head. Today I focus mainly on playing jazz, blues, gospel on keyboards, and bluesy rock on guitar.
